I've been studying the history of US, and indeed, global policing my whole career and I can't make it more clear to law makers that this isn't a bastardization of policing, it is its purest form and logical conclusion. The impunity, militarization, deference, legitimacy, racial targeting, etc.

As tens of thousands across America protest the violence that ICE sows with impunity, federal agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis today.

ICE terrorizes our cities. ICE puts us all in danger. Abolish ICE.

Police do not have a legal responsibility to protect the public. This was established in Town of Castle Rock v. Gonzales (2005). Given this, and the tremendous harm they do every day, what possible argument could one give for not abolishing the institution of policing entirely?

Everything Jeffries does from now until he is no longer in leadership must be understood in the context that NYC-DSA, at the height of its power and momentum, could have run the first credible challenger of his career and chose not to.
"High floor, no ceiling" isn't meant to be persuasive to voters, it's meant for donors, and I assume Jeffries, whose job functions partly by being able to direct donor money to favored and against unfavored candidates, knows that.

If Ai could replace workers in all industries it already would have. The wage represion possibilities of the tech are exhausted, and while significant they are not worth the cost of the techs maintenance. But the class sector it did help is trying desperately to make the rest fund and sustain it

The future of work is changing. And we have to evolve with it or fall behind. That's why we're proud to introduce: Serfdom dot AI. Our platform allows SERFs (solo entrepreneur revenue facilitators) to rent affordable housing that they can subsidize by picking up work with Baron, our AI assistant

I’m going to keep hammering this point: the excesses of ICE we see now are entirely contiguous with our system of policing more broadly, and the reason that almost no politician wants to threaten real consequences for ICE agents is because it opens the door to making the same demands of the cops

Woke 2 is distinctively an ideology of Trump II, when we no longer need to go looking for some hidden enemy, no longer need to work to uncover the infiltrators and the enemies hiding their power level

the enemy is out in the light and screaming about how much they hate us, there is no mystery there

Money is the supreme good, therefore its possessor is good.. I am brainless, but money is the real brain of all things and how then should its possessor be brainless? .. he can buy clever people for himself, and is he who has power over the clever not more clever than the clever?

The entire pundit class has convinced people for so long that their “analysis” was somehow necessary and valuable when in reality it was just a con game to manufacture consent for bias-confirming “strategies” that only benefited the capitalist class and guaranteed pundits career security.

It’s quite impressive how Mamdani has pulled almost every Dem into his coalition, not him into theirs. He keeps the door open for everyone but true enemies (Adams, Cuomo) & rather than try to extort a Hochul into a promise, he just puts her onstage & lets the popular will confront her. Amazing.
Governor Kathy Hochul is speaking on stage, but the crowd keeps interrupting to chant #TaxTheRich
