There's an impeachment resolution against this guy in the House but it's not being talked about very much because "This lunatic is trying to kill your children" isn't a compelling enough political message I guess

Law and order just describes the system by which the ruling class protects itself (and its wealth) from the rest of us. There are no laws for the wealthy and for corporations. There are no laws for rulers.

Whilst dictionaries and high minded academics produce words of the year there’s no reason us little people can’t do the same.

I present to you the 2026 #cyber word of the year ….

I’ve been trying to land on a good explanation of why “hallucination” is a bad description of what LLMs do and I think “structurally indifferent to the truth” nails it on the head.

Look, the reason LLMs (AI) is being jammed in to everything is due to the need to make it “critical infrastructure,” so when the bubble pops, the major firms can demand a bailout from US taxpayers.

That’s it. That’s why there’s so much pressure to incorporate it to every little thing.

Trump moves to shut down Boulder climate research lab NCAR, drawing rebukes from Colorado officials
Federal lawmakers called the planned NCAR closure “deeply dangerous” and “blatantly retaliatory.” Gov. Jared Polis said: “If true, public safety is at risk and science…

This is horrible. Trump and his crew shut down USAID, which has led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, and they had no idea what they were doing or what would be the consequences. Completely immoral.

For more than a century, a smelting plant in Omaha spewed lead-laced smoke across the city, resulting in about 400 million pounds of it settling into the soil and bodies of countless Omahans.

Wondering if you’ve been exposed to lead? ProPublica and @flatwaterfreep.bsky.social can help.

I don’t want to see “experts say Trump can’t pardon a state conviction.”

That’s like “experts say sun rises in east, and some scientists claim water is two hydrogen atoms attached to an oxygen atom.”

It’s just a fact.

He CANNOT do this.

And the media DAMN well better get their coverage right.
Trump says he's pardoned Tina Peters, but that may not save her from prison
Trump has no jurisdiction over state-level cases to offer the pardon.

Birthright citizenship under the common law, a thread:

I have done this many times on social media, in print, and in media interviews, but not to be accused of taking others’ not seriously enough, by plainly stating the law and history of birthright citizenship, I’m taking the time here:

googled something and clicked a link to a website I'd never heard of that looked like a forum, read the discussion and realized the person asking a question and all of the answers were all LLM generated, the entire website was a fake forum pretending to be people asking/answering questions
