A lot of this going around lately, IMO.
Hear, hear.
The nation already owes you a great deal, Marc.
If you hear someone saying that they hope lawyers are ready to go to court to protect free and fair elections, I suggest you let them know that my law firm is already litigating more than 80 voting and election cases in 40 states.

Imagine seeing photos and videos of ugly old men raping underage girls and thinking, "I need to protect those horrible men at all costs."?

Pam Bondi is a soulless villain.

Section 504, which provides (among other things) protections and supports for students with disabilities, is under renewed attack by 8 Republican states.

While it feels great to see the administration take one small step backwards in Minnesota, I can’t help but feel that this is more about timing than moderating their response. It’s too early for things to blow up. It has to happen closer to the midterms.

Mr. Rogers, they are killing the helpers in the streets.
To whom do we look now?

Republican politicians who think that Minneapolis is a political problem are missing the point. It is a moral problem. But they are in so deep that they cannot see just how morally bankrupt they have become. They do not understand that we are as revulsed by their complicity as by Trump's cruelty.

Alex Pretti was there to exercise his first amendment rights and to look out for others. He was also exercising his second amendment right to lawfully carry.

For exercising these rights, he was killed.

He tried to help a woman who had been shoved to the ground by an ICE thug, and was murdered.

ASL information re: observing and warning neighbors about ICE operations using S.A.L.U.T.E. / A.C.T.U.A.R. Please share widely--we know disabled folks are particularly susceptible to state violence and many d/hh folks regardless of immigration status have a first language that is not English.

This is who federal agents are ripping out of their communities and shipping across the country. This is the danger we're being protected from.

The President of the United States deleted this photo of the drawer full of photos with himself and Jeffrey Epstein from the DOJ's illegally redacted release of the files last night.

We are watching a cover up in real time.

This is file 468.

Funny, isn't it? The day before the DoJ was to ostensibly release the Epstein Files, they gave the transgender pot a big ol' stir and now that's all anyone on the right is talking about! Works every time.

Up to ten years in prison. As a punishment for providing the care that saved my son's life.
Criminalization of parents who seek help for their transgender kids.
Just now, a national trans healthcare felony ban for youth has passed the US House, with 10 year prison terms.

3 Dems crossed party lines to vote to jail providers.

4 GOP crossed party lines to vote against.

It is not expected to pass the Senate, where Dems hold filibuster power.

Story to come.

Unbelievable. This would be a terrible blow to American science, writ large. It would decimate not only climate research, but also the kind of weather, wildfire, and disaster research that has underpinned half a century of progress in prediction, early warning, and increased resilience.
Exclusive: The Trump administration is moving to dismantle the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Colorado, according to a senior White House official, taking aim at one of the world's leading climate research labs.

The projection has always worked for him. The misdirection has always worked. The bullying. The threatening. The lying.

With special needs children, we sometimes see an “extinction burst” of extreme behavior when the original behaviors are no longer effective.

The intensity can be breathtaking.

I have one immediate family member who relies on SNAP benefits, and one who has been working without pay (and under the implicit threat of being laid off) for weeks now. I am experiencing such an alphabet soup of emotions right now. Relief, but also anger and disbelief for those relying on the ACA.

In Deaf culture, the sign for “I love you” is commonly used as a way to say goodbye to friends and family members. Today, a student who has always yelled aggressively at me when it’s time for me to leave our sessions instead made eye contact and signed “I love you”. And then she did it again. 🤟🏻

Nothing to this one but venting: The transphobes are the most cowardly of bigots, people so terrified of what's in their pants & what's not in their hearts that they make it a calling to terrorize those who've done the work to know who they are. Mice have more courage, slugs have more grace.

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.
