If you're a writer/other creator in the United States, consider creating an LLC for your business and then signing up for a local area Chamber of Commerce. Many of them have health insurance plans that pool their members and members of other CoCs to create insurance efficiencies relative to ACA.

I use a USB-C hub so I can plug a one-handed keyboard into my iPad Air to get most of my tool shortcuts, but it's handy having other shortcuts in Quick Access menus on my iPhone.

My 16-inch Huion with my MacBook Air will have more screen space, but it also requires a power outlet, and more way more stuff to carry.

The iPad lets me flat comic pages on any table, so I could still hang out with people over Thanksgiving instead of hiding away in some other room.
