Beyond the personality disorder (which he absolutely has a severe personality disorder) is the pretty obvious dementia which combined with the personality disorder gets you this.
Around the world, leaders have long thought that Trump suffers from a serious personality disorder. Now however the evidence that his psychosis is unchecked is far stronger than in his first term. abcnews.go.com/amp/US/trump...

The white house has a whole website for "immigrant crime"... if we're being honest that video isn't even close to the top 10 most racist thing out of the last year of this White House. But people will jump up to protect the photogenic powerful couple, and look away when it's lower status immigrants.

18 agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) markings smashed an apartment window, ran in, and came out with one man.

They want to publicly punish the “uppity” five year old that dared to upset people. As @adamserwer.bsky.social pointed out years ago. “The cruelty IS the point.”
HAPPENING NOW: DHS just expedited Liam Conejo Ramos' asylum hearing to this morning, meaning it's possible the five-year-old and his family could be deported as soon as today.

Rep. Joaquin Castro: "The Trump administration is trying to take him away again." www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-...

No, at worst Schumer can be accused of letting the Trump regime prey on its domestic victims with minimal pushback because he's friends with some of the war criminals in the regime and appreciates their furtherance of a genocide he supports

top schumering lately. his party's supporters want ICE abolished; he proposes ICE being reformed, & then those reforms are a bunch of half-measures like the agents not wearing masks, & then he waters that down until we land on the agents not wearing masks unless they say they have a reason. 10/10
Chuck Schumer says ICE should be allowed to wear masks in "unusual circumstances—you know, some guy's picture was put up by a terrorist group or something."

why would they portray one of Trump's staunchest allies as a critic of his regime's excesses while erasing the work of actual critics? I have a theory about this
This is a remarkable @nytimes.com split screen:

A huge 3,526 word + photos profile on Sen Britt who "can't stop thinking about the boy ICE detained"

But Rep Jaoquin Castro- who actually got Liam Ramos out of detention & back home- gets no interview, no pix, just 116 words inside a story. WOW.

Annoyingly, this doesn’t specify what exactly is happening. But it sure seems like DHS filed a “motion to pretermit” the asylum application. Which it is doing in countless cases around the country.

There’s been a little reporting on this; there needs to be a bunch more. I’m working a piece myself.

The latest release of the Epstein files is a chilling reminder of how the wealthy elite are protected while survivors continue to fight for justice. There is no reason anyone named in these allegations should walk free, taunting victims and fueling public distrust.

Ppl are really west-wing-brained. To think that the threat of being kidnapped or killed won’t have a net negative effect on turn out is just delusional. Particularly in vulnerable communities. ppl in solid blue districts turning out won’t be faced w/ ice, and won’t make a diff in purple districts.

From a Reddit post about ICE in LA.

Wearing a Hawaiian shirt under their police vest is a very intentional choice. This seems like a Boogaloo boy who is also a thug agent of the state.

LA friends - be careful out there and make sure folks are aware of what is happening.

What if these are actually just very bad people that should not be listened to?
This level of apologia (from Megan McArdle in a podcast with Josh Barro and Ross Douthat) is fucking appalling. Idk what else there is to say.

This is 100% the reason for the AI hype.
I think it's best for everyone to understand that the unified class project of billionaires right now is to do to white collar workers what globalization and neoliberalism did to blue collar workers.

I think there’s this mirage in the minds of a lot of folks that there’s a huge swath of persuadable voters with well defined, thought-out policy positions, who then vote for those policies… that’s just simply not the case. They didn’t “ignore his policies” most Trump voters didn’t vote on policy.
Trump won because people simply did not believe he would do what he said he was going to do! That's the most maddening part about the popularism debate. Trump's policies have ALWAYS been unpopular AND HE WON BECAUSE VOTERS SIMPLY MADE UP THEIR MINDS THAT HE WOULDN'T ACTUALLY DO WHAT HE PROMISED
Pew finds 60% oppose pausing visas and 66% oppose nixing asylum! People overinterpreted 2024 as a seismic shift to Trump on immigration. But the data is showing very broad opposition to the restrictionist, ethnonationalist, anti-humanitarian aspects of Trumpism. 5/5
