Elon Musk is very explicitly altering the X algorithm to show people content that aligns with his far-right worldview.

If you're still posting there and think you can win hearts and minds or something, this is what you're up against. You're never going to win a rigged game.

a late friend always got wildly incorrect readings during our Physics labs for electromagnetism. even the TA started just giving A grades once he saw my friend go thru the right processes and still get very wrong results, and joked that his aura was stronger than the lab gear was designed to handle
Scientists can be some of the most superstitious people on Earth, because so much of what we do is a black box with a high statistical chance of failure.

I have absolutely had haunted 👻 instruments that had to be placated by small sacrifices of enzyme or culture media.

We’re watching a shift where AI simulates the cohesion and reinforcement that used to require an entire online community. A single person can now build a complete parallel reality with nothing more than a prompt window. Which seems bad.

like you can be wrong and dumb about a lot of things, but being wrong and dumb about vaccines will kill OTHER people since that’s how spreading diseases works. It’s an opt-in fringe crank theory by fringe cranks

Clay Higgins only voted against the bill because his wife can see the future and knew what would happen

worth remembering that Howard Dean was yet another in a long line of exciting, progressive, candidates that the party "leadership" destroyed in order to maintain their power stranglehold
For four days tv news played Howard Dean screaming 633 times back in 2004!
