Shockingly, this bill would have failed were it not for the 3 Democrat defections.
Just now, a national trans healthcare felony ban for youth has passed the US House, with 10 year prison terms.
3 Dems crossed party lines to vote to jail providers.
4 GOP crossed party lines to vote against.
It is not expected to pass the Senate, where Dems hold filibuster power.

Genuinely, if you are a writer who can’t afford art for an image related to your work, be it a cover or promo banner or author avatar pic or whatever, a drawing you did yourself, no matter how laughably crude, is more worthy of respect and will have more of YOU in it than any genAI slop.
Every writer who generates a slop image for their work is a class traitor.

And because of it, we're being barraged w/ AI garbage, artists are being ripped off, non-artists heads have swelled because they can type words to generate images off our backs with 0 protections while acting like we keep them from learning skills.
