This is something @ndrew.bsky.social has been saying for years… are we really going to subject our children to targeted harassment and physical inspections by agents of the state just because of a hypothetical scenario that would seem to be more like obvious cheating than sincere inclusiveness.

I think there's this growing consensus in the RW group think that Gen Z men are farrrr more religious than they actually are. You have a small reactionary group that's definitely showing up, but I don't think it's actually been enough to arrest the trend of the US becoming more secularly identified
