I think the disconnect between Atlantic elites is that Americans think Donald Trump is a kid getting to drive a monster truck for Make A Wish and Europeans and Canadians think Donald Trump is the president of the United States.

I'm reminded of how the Taliban established and enforced their power from the mid-90s onward, by making examples of towns, villages, and individuals they saw as a potential future threats in order to terrorize and neutralize the population.

It's a more extreme example, but we're on that glide path
BREAKING — Mayor of Lewiston, Maine posts on FB that ICE is coming to the city imminently. This confirms my reporting the agency is planning a surge in the city and state generally.

Lewiston is home to a large Somali-American population, which made up 4.6% of the population as of the 2020 census.

Yeah, I am not at the point I want Big Claude to nudge Little Claudes to keep working + grant permissions. If the subagents aren't already autonomous without help they shouldn't be subagents imo.

OTOH, all Big Claude needs is good judgement, so that could change in a few releases.

Looking over it, I feel like it's a recipe for losing track of what your agents are actually coding? If there's enough parallelizable tasks for multiple full agents, I prefer to use xargs to spawn a bunch of jj workspaces and then start claudes with the right prompts in each of them in tmux.

One of the very first alarming ICE stories in 2025 was ICE storming an outpatient surgical center in southern california to arrest a dude undergoing a procedure. They came back later to arrest the surgical tech that tried to stop them from taking the patient and charged him with obstruction.

Do they think people in other states secretly love this, or are they blinded by rage from the top down? Does incurious loyalty feel that good?

White polite liberals really don't want to believe their multicultural society is still racist, because that might start shit with their "polite" republican friends who'd cut them off entirely if they ever showed a little backbone

So is this meant to be a national total, or just the number of people CBP helped arrest? Amazed they can send so many guys to get so few people. The way they mention stash houses sounds almost like they're trying to argue something good came of sending a whole task force to arrest one guy.

will stancil is proof positive that when the regime comes for us we can step outside of our internet slapfights and do the damn work

he's doing it, his neighbors are doing it, and if they come for our communities so can the rest of us
the thing about our boy Will is that he's just a regular guy, a bit more stubborn than most, out there with tens of thousands of of other Minnesotans, and if they can stand up to these fuckers so can you.

shame on you, officer 404 error, shame
I am introducing the Quick Recognition (QR) Act, which requires ICE and CBP officers to wear uniforms featuring QR codes. When scanned, the code would generate a digital ID displaying the officer’s name, badge number, and law enforcement agency.

ICE should be unmasked both physically and digitally.

I feel like we're at the point a general strike until they recall these assholes out of the state and make them unmask would be warranted, but we also don't have the infrastructure for it. Short of that, what can stop this soon other than massive civil disobedience making it untenable?
