One thing that both fascinates, and disturbs me greatly, is how quickly and routinely claims crop up about online personalities become entrenched as factual by people who simultaneously seem to have no investment and complete obsession in the matter. It's Fanon, but about real life.
I have gotten to a weird one point in my online career where a number of people seem to eagerly spread stories about what I do that are just....not true. Remotely.
And I just have to deal with that.

Ok, now that I've actually *watched* this, I want to say that what I like most about Ant's videos is not only does he pick really interesting subjects, but he often takes them in directions you wouldn't expect.
I think what I am getting at is posts like this. My brain initially reads this and goes "This is valid feedback that I need to take seriously."
Until I step back and go "But it's....not really saying anything specific."
The fact it's from another video essayist gives me pause, briefly.

I think one problem I have is that I will read the opinions of normal folks, people with an agenda, and folks who may be speaking out of jealousy for my success...
And I sometimes have a hard time determining which is which.

I highly suggest to watch this video. When I started watching anime in my teens, I didn't care for fanservice and did like it.
However, as time has gone on, I've grown to distaste fanservice. Its why I've grown hard to go back to Fairy Tail for example. A lot of Fanservice is of underage girls.
