I always hear the "YouTube careers last 5-7 years" thing, but I feel like my niche is full of folks going 10 or 15 years with channels that regularly get views.

It's a wild thing, because I guess each niche is different.

It is rare that i reach out to as many trump advisers and officials that I did today and get literally no one willing to defend this, even off the record.

This week's blog is about trans joy and watching my partner blossom into who she was always meant to be against the backdrop of *gestures to political hellscape*
On Loving My Partner
It’s a really bizarre contrast to see conservatives repeatedly attacking trans people as my partner transitions. If you don’t know, my partner and I have been together for twenty years,…

It's profoundly uncomfortable when you see someone who you interacted with as a creator... completely implode over months.

Especially when it's multiple people.

for me when it comes to Rey i just found her be okay, people can say what they want about korra but at least with her she was allowed to have character and personality and allowed to be a flaw protagonist who had actually was allowed to mature and developed by the end of the show unlike Rey.

I like The Force Awakens but I think every criticism you made is valid. It stinks that the conversation around Rey is dominated by internet chuds and that she's always reduced to just a Mary Sue, a stupid term that no serious critic should ever use.

I'll eventually watch, but I agree. To me, it's all about the characters, how much the filmmakers love them and their world, and the cool stuff they do w/ them.

Now we need a spiritual successor of this video essay on original IPs and whether or not just being original, no matter how ridiculous its concept/premise is, is enough to make something good.

Game Awards last year took place during a videogame strike against AI

The strike wasn’t mentioned or acknowledged despite many VO performers working on the games that are heralded every year and even appearing on stage

This year a game that features AI voiceover gets a podium to accept an award.

I have seen statements that indicate that Neeson had no idea this was an antivax doc.

If true, this isn't the first time something like this has happened. But key word: if true.
SCOOP: Academy Award-nominee Liam Neeson narrated a recent anti-vaccine documentary that glorifies RFK Jr.’s rise to power.

In the film, Neeson—a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador—calls the COVID-19 vaccines “dangerous experiments.”
