The amount of "this game doesn't deserve to win" takes from folks who never played the game is... impressive tbh. "I don't like this game" does not equal "the game is objectively bad" and I wish more people understood that.

Beautiful games have been made forever w/o genai in concept art. This all feels like an issue of suits wanting fully finished pictures because they refuse to use their brains when looking at concept work.

Even if you're not a big film buff, Rob Reiner's work was a big influence on a game series that is near and dear to lot of people's hearts. Great artists inspire others artists, who in turn continue to inspire the next generation of artists.

I feel like I'm being Gaslit anytime I see these Genre Name Semantics come up. Like people know what you mean when you Metroidvania (and Roguelike for that matter). I feel like I'm going crazy when I see people try to act like those terms are confusing and need to change.
