In a rational world I don’t see how you would look at the President writing a letter to the effect of “since you wouldn’t give me the peace prize, now my only option is war” and sending it to the wrong person and not immediately start scrambling for the 25th Amendment.

I have no idea what the context here is. But, this is actually a brilliant strategy. Obviously Plato wasn't the target of this bullshit policy, but using it to ban Plato shows just how ridiculous it is, draws attention, and creates a mutually assured destruction dynamic. I actually love this.

One of the most troubling things for me personally to deal with in these times is the gaslighting. The constant changing of standards, equivocations, refusal to call lies lies and crimes illegal. Nothing has meaning anymore and no one stands for anything. It's not only depressing, but disorienting.
I have spoken with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and our Ambassador in Caracas. The EU is closely monitoring the situation in Venezuela.
