I haven’t taken my ADHD meds since Thursday. And I’m oddly doing very well. Not sure if that means I’m on the wrong meds/dose or was just overdue for a tolerance break or what. But I’m happy about it.

Minor parenting win: 4 yo refused to try a bite of scrambled eggs at IHOP, then started crying that he wanted to try a bite on the way to the car. Compromise: me making an egg for him when we got home. He tried a bite like he promised and said it was yummy, even though he didn’t eat a second bite.

I'm going public with my hot take of Nickelback's music is actually decent. It's not amazing, certainly not innovative, but it's enjoyable enough and gets your foot tapping and/or head bobbing, and that can be enough sometimes! Not everything needs to be life-changing music!
I am super ill so I watched that Netflix show about how you should be nice to Nicklebck cuz they don't suck as much as you think and they are nice guys. I am afraid that the music still absolutely blows though. Swing and a miss there.

So much this. In our culture, we force people to hide their grief away, to never feel it, and treat it like it's an illness that you need to "get over". Cemeteries are the only place where it's "acceptable" to just... feel grief! It's insane to me because grief is a part of life! FEEL YOUR FEELINGS!
The conversation you posted brought up some feelings. I cannot understand the belief that anything is only useful if it is generating money. That’s such a small part of life. We are human. We need places to feel our feelings, especially grief. Thank you for what you do !
