fully capable of believing that our president would knowingly post wildly racist content, that he doesn't actually bother or have the attention span to actually watch what he reposts, and, this is the key thing, that he's a racist prick who shouldn't be in office regardless

Just because good news is worth celebrating:

There is now a Prep medication that is an *every six month* injection.

HIV has, effectively, a vaccination.

If they spent decades defending cops executing ppl in the street and in their homes, if they spent decades defending random bombing of civilians, defending torture, defending genocide, shouldn’t be surprised that they’re all on board defending a powerful cabal of child rapists and yet I am

Abolish ICE.

There’s no reforming it.

There’s no compromise.

There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.

How is it that so many people in the US have never asked themselves why dissidents, recreational drug users, and the poor are in jail, while the folks in charge of the government are rapists, pedophiles, and mass murderers? That should be your first clue that your country is beyond fucked up.

Partly true, the secret other way to forge such a connection was to only sneak in episodes on the rare occasion your parents both left the house, ensuring that you had to cram as much as possible, remain constantly vigilant for the sound of their return, and remember plot details for weeks at a time
The best way of watching TV was a whole series torrented, burned onto a DVDr and watched on a junky laptop. That, as a format, enforced a real personal connection with whatever you were watching. Watching TV any other way basically isn’t worth it.

Token action named with wordplay of victims' names, for the sake of lowering and legitimating the flimsy bar of legality that clearly does not constrain ICE anyway. Worthless.
Someone in Congress needs to sponsor the Pretti-Good Act of 2026. It would:

1) remove immunity from any federal agent who willfully and intentionally violates the constitutional rights of a civilian;

2) prohibit any federal agent from pretending to have a judicial warrant if they don’t, from

Words fail to express how tired I am of hearing about how such and such latest incident really exposes the "hypocrisy" of Fascists. It is not only a waste of time to read it, taking the time to write it is practically sealioning oneself.

There's a reason these shrill managerial types always bring up Gandhi and not Fanon
Anyone who thinks that Trump actually cares about ICE agents is mistaken. He would love to see several attacked or even killed since that would give him an excuse to send in troops, APCs, and even tanks and attack aircraft.

Gandi, MLK Jr, and others were right. Nonviolence is the path to change.

There's lots of obvious crap to point out here, Mr. Walsh hates women, Ms. Rachel's "far-left propaganda" amounts to saying all kids' lives matter (lmao), but I'm really reminded, especially in the age of AI turning our entire media economy into a Potemkin village, (1/2)

Charlie Brown pressing the football back into Lucy's hands like "just one last time, I know you kept pulling it up by mistake"
i think the public-facing message re: ICE needs to be something like “let’s pump the brakes and investigate these bad apples” and then you take power and wipe the whole thing out

Another week of movies. After a year of thrifting blu rays, my partner and I decided to end all streaming subscriptions and begin working through our growing physical collection, skipping any movie we've seen in the last 5 years. Should take away some of the decision fatigue each night.
