I’m honoured to be featured alongside some of Australia’s biggest names in wonkdom in the summer issue of Inflection Points.

My paper is the culmination of 4 years work on declining civic participation — and why other researchers into the phenomenon have a blind spot for political parties.

one of the casualties of capital ballooning AI into the stratosphere & the resulting backlash is that we've forgotten about the actual joys of conversing with a computer, and the art that goes into setting up the parlor where it happens
I am kind of less worried about letting high-end on-demand spectacles exist as fantasy, and instead focus my attention on how to author highly responsive things (call them games or not, idc) that treat both player and human-authored digital artifact as parts of a satisfying conversation

The broadcaster has been ordered to pay $150,000. I was previously awarded $70,000 for hurt and distress.

ABC has spent in excess of $2 million on legal fees.

The real cost to Aunty is immeasurable.

This type of translated article is really useful because I think Americans specifically rarely get any kind of look at the sheer amount of bubbling contempt and disgust rising up about their country in the rest of the world, especially outside Europe.

Someone asked why they can't get Godot's AudioEffectSpectrumAnalyzer to detect pitch.

It's probably because the default FFT size is small, which results in a wideband analysis. You want narrowband, so increase the FFT size.
