Silence in any conflict only ever helps the oppressor.

Stand up for what you believe in and speak out for your neighbors, not just so that they will do the same for you but because it's the right thing to do.

Remember: Everyone who says that athletes or artists should stay out of politics does not just fail to understand that in moments like these politics infuses every aspect of every life in our country--they are actually part of the problem. Silence is a position. Silence serves autocrats and thugs.

His FCC refused to air my interview with Stephen Colbert.

Trump is worried we’re about to flip Texas.

I think it’s time for Democratic leaders to start saying “if you’re a pilot or ground crew involved in a deportation that was stayed by a judge, you’ll be held criminally liable for human trafficking.” Everyone involved in these flights should have that fear in the back of their minds.
Overnight, this probable ICE flight landed in Benin and is now returning to Senegal, likely for a crew layover.

Pregnancy became far more dangerous in Texas after the state banned abortion, according to ProPublica’s first-of-its-kind analysis, which found the sepsis rate for women hospitalized as they miscarried in the 2nd trimester shot up by more than 50%.

SCOTUS will soon decide whether it'll gut Section 2 of the VRA and effectively disarm courts from addressing racially discriminatory voting practices.

This moment isn’t just about Louisiana's map — it’s about protecting Black voters’ right to fair representation, Damon Hewitt writes.
Beyond Callais: We need new tools to uphold voting rights
Over 60 years of precedent and protection for voters of color, especially Black voters, could be upended and voided if SCOTUS fails to uphold the right to vote.

FFS.This was the same panic the adult industry had two years ago. AI has done many things, but has not resulted in widespread replacement of actual creators.

It turns out people like actual people. Which we could have told Hollywood, if they'd actually asked.
It took only a 15-second clip of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt duking it out on a crumbling rooftop — made by A.I. with a two-sentence prompt and the click of a button — to draw swift outrage, and sizable fear, from Hollywood.

"It’s nothing short of terrifying," one scriptwriter said.
Why an A.I. Video of Tom Cruise Battling Brad Pitt Spooked Hollywood
A 15-second clip created by an artificial intelligence tool owned by the Chinese technology company ByteDance appears more cinematic than anything so far.
