A trio of characters seen on the deck of an airship. A woman in white with a black belt and reddish black undergarments stands with a boat oar over her shoulder, a compass in hand and looking to the left, her black/blue/purple hair blowing in the breeze. A buff man in a gray shirt and dark pants sits crouched on a clearly unsafe back part of the ship with a rake as a weapon. A woman stands on the back part of the ship under the mast and magical sail in a patchwork outfit with broken chains dangling from her wrist. Blue glowing crystals can be seen keeping the ship aloft. A digital illustration of a massive divine dragon with purple and gold coloration. The massive beast flies over a mountain city with floating islands all around. As it turns in the sky its wings trail through clouds. The creature has a thick almost gorilla like body and stripes like a tiger but made of something like gold that seems to flow beneath its skin. Serahn, a dark skinned elf with faint catlike markings leaps through a forest with a dark reddish colored sky. He’s flanked by two blue spectral entities trailing wispy energy like smoke. He too trails that same energy indicating a connection with the spirits. An image of a woman in a blue dress seated upon a throne with moon symbols on it looking down imperiously. She is surrounded by stones, gnarled trees and a stone circle behind her head. Her hair moves as though it's being blown by a strong wind or moved by ocean currents. Her dress flows into a waterfall that turns into a pool that flows into the foreground.

Lord am I blown away every time I see your stuff! And congrats on making it into Magic!

I had so many people giving me just the most amazing feedback in the world to get that one polished up, Kaya and it came out better than I could've hoped.

One of the coolest parts was I got to be involved in the worldbuilding that led to my brief! You can actually watch the process here. It was so fun working with @adepticarus.com on this one.

#Portfolioday Cont'd It's map time!

I am so glad I learned to do this btw and would be thrilled to get to do more of these for clients.
A map of a single continent with a large desert in its center. It's done on toned paper with a few islands around it. The coastline has a large number of mountains around it with the civilizations situated along that same coast and in a few of the mountains as well with the interior very empty save for one large city situated at the confluence of two rivers before you reach the desert.
A map of Emoris, a fictional continent for my DnD setting. It has a large mountain range in the north west another in the south east and a desert just beyond it. The continent also has a huge inland sea. A map of the Upperworld for the Wagadu Chronicles book/game. The map is oriented with East at the top and west at the bottom and features many strange continents and a design inspired by old maps of things like the Mali empire. A map of a large continent that is shaped roughly like a curving letter T. The continent is roughly divided into thirds with a lush rainforest bordered by mountains to the north, an inland savannah in the middle and an arid desert surrounded by mountains that makes up most of the bottom third of the continent. Rivers and lakes dot the north and middle with only a single large river flowing outward toward the south in the desert region.

Some of it's the whole "temporarily embarrassed millionaire" thing the US populace has going on as a byproduct of American dream propaganda, but we're also just a young nation very new to the concept of wealth shouldn't dictate your say in a democracy.
aaronradney.bsky.social
Agreed. Occasionally you get someone who still wants to do the right thing in spite of their wealth (The Roosevelts and Pritzker come to mind and even then still plenty of issues there)

But this is very much a thing the US still hasn't *really* grown out of.
johnrogers.bsky.social
“No Kings” is great , but we really don't get a functioning democracy back until we internalize, bone deep, the instinctive response to this and every other statement like it: “I don’t care what that rich guy thinks.”

Make it your morning affirmation. Say it ten times at the top of every hour.

This is gender because

1. most of the guys who try to dunk on him are men
2. most of their reasoning for why they're smarter than him is "fashion is femme coded"

Seeing dudes try to step to the menswear guy makes me understand better the mentality of the regular Street Punks who keep hassling Kiryu in Act 3 of every Yakuza game when hes got all the abilities unlocked

Porn addiction isn’t real
It’s just not
All of the ”science” about it comes from groups with religious ties, anti-sex worker ties, or grifting “therapists”

A compulsive relationship with porn is about the individual, not the porn

If there's one thing the last 10 years has taught me it's that the obvious still needs stating.
aaronradney.bsky.social
Fun fact I also think that's why he keeps floating the idea of a third term.

Obama joked he thought he could win a third term if he'd been allowed to try.
aaronradney.bsky.social
Right? I'm just saying I really feel like that's not being factored into the discussions I'm seeing. Could be my info environment though.
aaronradney.bsky.social
Yep. And the fact I'm seeing so few people talk about it and factor it into the analysis seems weird to me.
aaronradney.bsky.social
really so focused on getting the peace prize. Obama got one when, even he I think would agree, he hadn't really done anything to deserve it.

Trump wanted it as a way of affirming he was as good or better than Obama.
aaronradney.bsky.social
It's the idea that the worst white man is still better than the best non-white one and boy of boy is the tiny handed tyrant one of the worst white men.

It's why I believed they'd never let this man get away with being a one term president. Because Obama got two.

And it's why I think he's...
aaronradney.bsky.social
And he made a lot of white people feel very, very small. That's what they meant when they said they "suffered for 8 years under Obama."

That they had to endure the indignity of having to compare him to themselves. And they came up lacking.

Trump has to be viewed as a reaction to that!
