New Jersey may stop paying federal taxes under new governor
Gov.-elect Mikie Sherrill said on a podcast with Jon Stewart it's a "great idea."

How was I not following Ezra Levin? He is more leader than Schumer ever was.
They were chosen because they are not up for reelection so they can safely piss off voters.

The only answer is you have to hold the entire caucus accountable for the surrender. Every Dem who isn't calling for new leadership ought to be primaried. That, or accept continued failure.

I think tonight shows why “moderate to win elections” is a real risk

the big divide in the Dem caucus, as many have noted, has been less moderate vs progressive than fight versus don’t fight

but it’s not a coincidence that basically everyone in the “don’t fight” camp is a moderate

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

Senators on the brink of retirement who lived full, wealthy lives and never feared the loss of their own healthcare voting for their constituents to die from their inability to afford the same is treasonous

I’m disgusted with every single Dem who voted to gut healthcare and reopen the government.

Who held the line for 40 days, gave the people a reason to hope again, and then ripped it away.

Swearing in Adelita Grijalva better be the first thing that happens once the government reopens.

It really does seem like there's a decent chance that these senators screwed us because they don't want their personal Thanksgiving plans to be disrupted.
Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

Oh my God, this horrible, deluded woman should not be in charge of my health insurance in any way!
Jesus wept
Agree.

Sen Hassan, asked what will happen if Republicans don't carry out the deal, "Well, shame on them."

This is not what people were mobilizing for on Oct 18.

Traitors all.
Here they are, the Senators that can sleep at night with their Cadillac healthcare plan while 42 million Americans are denied AFFORDABLE healthcare.

Fetterman we expect, but @kaine.senate.gov we supported him for VP!
He’s the most disappointing of them all!

Every time I start to hope, the Democrats let me down. Fuck these "moderates". Replace Schumer.

We all want new leadership. You can’t expect us to march in protest at every turn with our kids and our parents, only to get the shaft by feckless leadership. Playing political games and covering for other members’ votes, is not what we want. Not another thing until Schumer steps down.
