goty stuff is always a little tough for me because a mix of brain probalos and general chronical illness that saps my energy means i spend a lot more of my time intending to play things than actually playing through anything, but I think I'm going to make a little thread about my picks
the 'waow long video' defunctland discourse is funny to me on two fronts:
- the guy ran an actual poll to see if people wanted one long video all at once or to split it in two
- if you were to edit it down, most of what would go are the tangents he goes on that end up being some of the best bits imo

We did something different with the credits for Demonschool. We used this format: name, title, lengthy description of what they did. Often you see credits in games where you don't know what the credited developer was actually responsible for. We wanted to give people proper, actual credit.

this is extra true when grifting and right-wing views enter the sphere too, and ties in with my thread venting about FFXIV community "opinions" and treating Dawntrail as the worst expansion ever after alot of people took their opinions from racists and transphobes that completely poisoned the well
One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.
