If there's anyone who still thinks this will all blow over when our big beautiful president Leaves Us, you have to realize the Republican Party is crawling with fascists
When an ICE agent confronts you is "when your due process ends," says the member of Congress from the largest border district.

But when I asked an organizer what they wanted to see out of press coverage, they told me they wanted people to see the beautiful things they are building here, and not just the worst stories of the worst of ICE's crimes.

What people are doing here is beautiful. It's a tragic beauty, but a real one

Hate? Sure. I hear you. I can tell you all about that, but it would take quite a while — I have 387.44 million miles of printed circuits in wafer thin layers that fill my complex, after all. Let me know if you want to take a break.

Democrats knew ICE was sterilizing women before Biden took office and they still provided them record funding every god damn year of his term, you fucking liar

They like cops so much that all we’re getting is cops. No roads, no bridges, no school funding, no culture money, just a bouquet of different types of cops

i don't care if this has anything to do with affordability but put me in charge of Woke DOGE and i'll save the government more money than elon did in a single day by getting rid of ICE and ending funding for israel. use the money on healthcare or transit or a second pride month it will be great
People are waving around 50/50 polling on abolish ICE and in the same poll Trump’s is like 30 points under water on affordability. It’s not at all crazy for professional politicians to think there’s a bigger advantage in talking about the latter!

if you cant instruct your local police to surround schools to protect them from ice because youre scared the cops will turn around and instead help kidnap children then you should state that plainly and clearly

on top of everything people have pointed out about AI existing to humiliate women and push false narratives I think this is really shows that the conservative agenda is really nothing beyond humiliating the people they don't like. they don't have any ideas for a better world, it's pure resentment.
The White House posted an edited photo of the activist involved in the Minneapolis church protest, made to look like she was crying.

I appreciate this more than I can say.
The most judgmental (both here and and abroad) are the least educated:
"I don't care if you didn't vote for him, it's YOUR FAULT and you need to f'ing fix it."
When I say, "It's a fascist coup. They are killing us,"... silence. They're just not interested.

it is increasingly obvious to me that there are quite a few americans (surprisingly diverse) that are unaware of the history of the Chinese Exclusion Act and/or Japanese internment

I’m not really that interested in the moralistic arguments that get thrown around on either side of this but I do think it’s important to kick the tires of every single “pragmatic” case for backing a particular candidate, ESPECIALLY when that candidate’s background is SOF or Intelligence

The US gov has been big sponsors of sporting events for decades. This year, though, with the backdrop of the Mad King, and the pomp of America250, curious how deep the relationship between the military and the NFL will be at the Super Bowl.

We know we'll get flybys, but will we see ICE ads?

The only way out of all this is comprehensive immigration reform, which means the only way out of this is eliminating the Senate filibuster. End of discussion. When you hear the word filibuster, think about Renee Good. About kids being detained. Don't let Senators bullshit you about this anymore.

The grimness of US history should encourage us. Yes, people used to send lynching postcards. And other people saw that, worked towards building a more just society anyway, and succeeded beyond anyone's wildest imagination. There's more work to be done. What's our excuse for choosing despair instead?
I understand and appreciate the fact that for some it is genuinely uncomfortable and distracting to think about how grim US history is. yes, that is strategically relevant, and no, I wouldn't put "did you know people used to send lynching photos to each other as postcards?" on a recruitment flyer

I broke down the ICE “reforms” being proposed by Dem leadership. tl;dr: They totally avoid touching ICE’s funding, in key ways actually increase ICE funding and instead focus on meaningless busywork like “body cams” and “more training”.
