Hey friends, I'm doing my best to make it easy for folks to come here and find their communities. I've got two starter packs so far - one with general left-ish activists and leaders, and one with folks working on union issues. Links in chat, and if you'd like to be added to one let me know!
In fairness, this is 100% in keeping with Elon's commitment to safety 🤷‍♂️ #teslatakedown
“The safety driver literally fell asleep at least three times during the ride”.

Watch a Tesla "Robotaxi" safety driver fall asleep while “monitoring” a ride in San Francisco.

Elon Musk, does this driver's demeanor reflect the 'constant attention to the road' that your systems require?

This message was sponsored by the owner of the paper that was paying Jamal Khashoggi to cover the monster who had him cut to pieces with a bone saw. Jeff Bezos is happily handing millions to Trump and bolstering Trump's agenda through his business empire.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

I love having a new mayor who leans into the fight instead of cowering before right wing bullshit. So excited for a new era of leadership in this city.
After much deliberation and a grueling interview process, I’m pleased to announce that I’ve accepted a new job and will not need any financial support from my parents to cover the high costs of childcare going forward. #AmericanDream #ThisIsYourCity

Old enough to remember when "the war on Christmas" was saying "happy holidays."
"Agencies within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, including ICE, ERO, and CBP intend to implement a comprehensive plan to target Spanish-speaking churches across the country during the upcoming holiday season between Thanksgiving, Nov. 27, and Christmas, Dec. 25."

it is almost as if accommodating and conceding to far right ideas legitimizes them and signals to voters that the far right is a legitimate choice for governance
The Danish Social Democrats are currently on course for their worst election result since at least the Second World War, despite their brand of far-right accommodationism being touted as a blueprint for other centre-left parties.

as a reporter, the part of this that i’ve simply never understood is how the next person to ask a question when he does something like this doesn’t simply repeat the question that set him off. it’s not just solidarity with your colleague, it’s an important question that remains worth asking
I’m not going to pretend it’s easy to say something in the moment when you witness the president do this and you’re aboard Air Force One with all the uniformed officers and secret service and fancy wood accents, but this is really an instance where you should. people.com/donald-trump...

Seattle's corpo-Dem bloc has 0 respect for voters in this city.
IDK if others clocked this (I was out of town) but the Seattle City Council voted last week to force the incoming Wilson Administration to spend $30 million on the encampment-sweeping "Unified Care Team" next year. This is a top priority for the current mayor, who just lost to Katie Wilson.

Ah Seattle. 47 degrees. Cold drizzle. And just passed a dude in a tee shirt, pajamas bottoms and flip flops walking out of the sandwich shop and heading down the street.

Love that the same people who insist we don't need a childcare safety net because Grandparents can help out then come at Mayor-elect Wilson because her kid's Grandparents help out.
You guys realize that taxing people to pay for services isn't socialism, right? This is just how governments work.
