All this does is give businesses with managers who have no experience with puzzles and no understanding of how much real effort it takes to build them an excuse to avoid hiring professionals to make their crosswords. "Well the AI can just make a crossword for us" NO IT CAN'T! Not a good one, anyway.

Anyone who has ever made a crossword -- the professional kind in newspapers, puzzle blogs, crossword tournaments -- will tell you there's actual joy in building and wrestling with the near-infinite possibilities of a grid and writing pitch-perfect clues yourself. You can't do this with a chatbot!

Amuse Labs had created perhaps the best digital crossword-solving software I've ever seen, with the ability to program all kinds of puzzles that were never possible before.

That's why this news about them creating a generative AI puzzle maker is so unbelievably sad and infuriating.

Not election night related, just been a long year and I have seen way too many things

The Dodgers buying all the best players is a disgrace to the noble history of baseball, which largely consisted of the Yankees doing it instead.

I’m not voting for anybody who *doesn’t* say this.
We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.

When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.

Trader Joe's Exec1: we'll sell lots of really good stuff at good prices

Exec2: that doesn't sound at all evil. We're a big company, we're supposed to be evil

Founder1: we are going to have the most inadequate, cramped, badly designed parking lots in the fucking world

Founder2: ok that works

There's a prestige that has eluded President Trump: the Nobel Peace Prize.

The annual award, set to be announced Friday, has occupied Trump for months, along with a recurring complaint that he’ll be overlooked. https://wapo.st/3KIatAf

“The law says he can’t do it so it’s not clear whether he can” is such a 2025 headline
It is not clear that Mr. Trump’s image can be featured on a coin. An 1866 law enshrined a tradition that only deceased people could appear on U.S. currency to avoid the appearance that America was a monarchy. Trump admin is planning to do it anyway.

Nobody's getting my vote in the 2028 primary unless they advocate not only abolishing ICE, but criminally prosecuting these scumbags too.
📽️ WATCH: Student Kenneth Santizo captured ICE and FBI officers stopping a family on their way to church in the Boston suburbs.

Agents broke the window, forced Daniel Flores-Martinez to his knees and slammed him to the ground while his children and his wife, a U.S. citizen, sobbed in the car.

This all looks very bad, but to be fair there's no direct evidence, verified by a court of law, that shows Donald Trump has ever committed sexual assault. [touches earpiece] Hold on, I'm getting some new information.

I truly believe the biggest reason Democratic voters don't vote for new voices more is because they keep being told by the party that it's hopeless to do so and results like this are wonderful because maybe it convinces more people to give it a shot.

Seems pretty clear what the Celtics are doing here - the general plan is to unload their expensive supporting players and get guys on expiring contracts.

In 2026, they’ll get Tatum back and have Tatum + Brown + maybe White + the flexibility to build something new around them.

Works for me!
