I really can't stress how important it is for progressive and leftists to contend for school, library, water, etc etc boards. Hyper local involvement in our communities where we can actually influence lives.

The UK is considering a policy that would effectively segregate trans people from society. It would bar trans people from "single sex spaces" even when they use the facility of their sex assigned at birth.
This is a full on policy of segregation without even the benefit of separate facilities.

ngl i feel like Brittany Luce has a truly amazing ability to know exactly who i would want to hear talk about every issue. Like the Ketamine, Naziism, and Hunger episodes of It’s Been a Minute have all been fantastic. love this show in a way i havent loved NPR in a while

Today there was an attempted ICE raid in Bensonhurst & community members showed up. Even though NYPD collaborated with ICE by trying to disburse the crowd; community members stood their ground & ICE left without kidnapping a single person per the rapid response groups I'm on. We protect us!
