So it turns out it’s the massively overpaid execs who could be replaced by AI… who’d have guessed
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

Created a detailed floor plan for Novel Reasons and it made me feel like an eighth grader drawing a map of the imaginary kingdom their sexy angst-ridden katana-wielding half-demon OC has sworn to protect.

Suggestion for new piece of public library information desk equipment: a big red button like the Staples button, except instead of THAT WAS EASY it says THAT WAS RACIST.

To be pushed when patrons say racist things to or about staff.

Which happens a lot.

Canada’s top political leaders are climate deniers. There’s no such thing as “decarbonized” oil and no environmentally conscious way to increase fossil fuel production.

Mark Carney and his government are sacrificing the climate and baking in worse natural disasters in the hope of short-term profit.
People who care about climate change are “dreaming nostalgically about the past.” - Minister Hodgson

Gotcha. That explains a lot.

Sir, she grew out her hair and became unrecognizable, apparently.

I have been supported by so many wonderful editors throughout my career, but have to shout out @jensookfonglee.bsky.social especially for being an absolute story wizard!
By the way, it's National Editor Appreciation Day.

Nobody ever reads a great article and thinks, "Dang, that was some tight editing." But editing is a big part of how it got to be great.

So writers, if you've ever worked with a good editor, shout 'em out.
