@statuscoupnews.bsky.social interviewing this woman in Minneapolis right now who said she came out of her home, wearing whatever she could grab to protect herself from ICE agents. You do what you can, with what you got.

Hey, he got plenty of catches. BY THE TEXANS.
Damn, you'd think with Aaron Rodgers being anti-vaxx, it'd be easier to catch something from him.

If you're worried about Aaron Rodgers coming after you for mocking him in his last game, just hide in the end zone. He'll never find you.

A good reminder that the person who reported Anne Frank and her family were following the law, the people protecting them were breaking it. The law and our own morality are not the same.

Please understand what it means when journalists are evacuating their family members out of town.

In any other country, we would be approaching "foreign sanctions" territory
We evacuated our kids out of Minneapolis this weekend and my spouse reports that as she drove them out of town she saw "multiple freeway exits where people are being pulled over." It feels like the Twin Cities is being subjugated by a hostile occupying force.

Donald Trump is a dictator and Jesse "The Body" Ventura is the voice of reason. My inner 80s child is so confused.
Ex-Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura: “We’re a 3rd world country now. I know. I’ve been to ‘em. I spent 17 months in SE Asia while the draft dodger was playing golf… that’s what happens in a dictatorship. In comes the military. That’s what’s happening here.” 🇺🇸

You can't make me afraid. Immigrants. They commit crimes 10x less than citizens. I don't fear them.
Drugs? Oh please, you want to tell me it's ok to buy 10 gallons of vodka but not a joint? I don't fear them.
The only thing I truly fear in 2026 are the Evangelical Christians and their faux leader.

important news that's going under the radar: the mayor of SF is putting together a group to rewrite the city's charter that's composed almost entirely of tech fascists, with very little representation from labor groups (or anyone left wing)

Meet the 28 people tasked to reshape San Francisco's constitution
To reform S.F.’s 548-page city charter, Mayor Daniel Lurie and Board President Rafael Mandelman formed a 28-member working group.

is there any historical SFMTA bus location data? I’d love to see how many Muni lines kept running through the Great SF Power Outrage of 2025.

There were certainly issues but Muni seemed to do pretty well — and way better than Waymo

“Worlds Safest Driver” Waymo spent all last night stopped in streets and intersections across SF due to a power outage. You’d think they’d plan for something like that.

At least one blocked an emergency response vehicle. This is what happens when a company gets to run a public service.

Power is out in NW SF, affecting traffic signals and 5G network. All Waymo vehicles have simply bricked wherever they were, creating traffic chaos. AVs still have no plan for emergency evacuation in urban quake or fire

PG&E is having a massive outage in San Francisco. Waymo robots aren't handling the traffic light outages well. Cell service is also out is some places.

No surprise as Waymo robots & cell have repeatedly failed during power outages.

CPUC regulates both Waymo and PG&E (Profit Greed & Explosions).
