Curious — with the advancements that are now occurring, and will continue to occur, in areas such as AI, robotics, etc.,what jobs/careers, if any, do you think will need, or still need, to be done primarily by humans 30 - 50 years from now? Or will we be living in a “Wall-E” type environment?

5 people hit by cars in less than 24hrs is horrific.
The 24th pedestrian incident in 2026 happened on Jan 20 at 18:33.
It took place at 60 Street south of 32 Avenue NE in Pineridge.

This was the 2nd incident in ward 5 this year.

Burg Reigerstraat in Utrecht is a fietsstraat, a cycling street where bikes have priority and cars are considered guests. By keeping speeds low and designing the street to feel comfortable for riders of all ages, it creates a calmer, safer environment that encourages active travel.

Last night the UCP used their power as gov’t to limit debate on multiple bills to one hour.

They’ve done it > 80 times in six years.

I had a few choice words in response and in defence of Albertans who deserve a government that respects democracy.

Better is possible. Just not with UCP. #abpoli

Winter makes a city’s transportation priorities extra obvious:

Bikelane: nonexistent on this street

Sidewalk: covered in snow with a caregiver getting a major workout pushing a stroller through

Street: perfectly cleared for drivers

We can and should do better @minneapolismn.gov .

Never since 1905, when Alberta became a province, was a petition with nearly half a million signatures tabled in the Legislature.

Never was a Premier presented with such clear choice between right and wrong.

Premier, do the right thing. Avoid a divisive referendum. #ableg

You don’t have to ban cars everywhere to transform your city centre. But you do have to seriously rethink and redefine the car’s role. There are many ways to do that, from #completestreets to #sharedstreets, pedestrian priority streets & Dutch #woonerfs, that prioritize streets for people, not cars.

“Alberta, which has been particularly hard hit, has seen its youth measles vaccine rate slip well below herd immunity levels.”

Hmmm — what could have possibly contributed to the Province of Alberta having exceptionally low vaccination rates?

As we ready for the UCP's 2nd pre-emptice use of the notwithstanding clause in as many weeks, let's clarify what this means.

1️⃣ The move is constitutional. They *can* invoke it.
2️⃣ The UCP is not *required* to do this. There are other means to pass the law.
3️⃣ They should not use it, in my view.🧵
