There's a variety of reasons someone might choose to bike in the road instead of on a path. I usually choose the bike lane or bike path or multi-use path if there is one, but here in Michigan cyclists are not required to use bike lanes or paths. Thanks for being supportive of visibility!

Thank you for your input. I don't know where you live but here in Michigan, cyclists are not required to use bike paths and may ride in the road. They may choose to do this for a variety of reasons. Hope this helps!

It’s so insane how in the early 2000’s Detroit was a huge Mecca of music. Just out of nowhere. Eminem, White Stripes and for what it’s worth, Kid Rock and the Insane Clown Posse. Just nuts how Detroit just pumped out huge acts. How did that happen??

I made my first trip to Detroit a year ago. I fell in love with it and have been back 3 times since, the latest being 2 weeks ago with my young adult daughter. Detroit has great vibes!

Disappointed that my Councilwoman, Angela Whitfield Calloway, did not respond to this survey in time, though I do support her over Roy McCallister.

I like Scot Benson's comment about making DDOT a "system of choice" rather than just a "system of last resort" for transportation.
