3 years ago the Willow series premiered, a beloved TV show by both critics and audiences.

It is now lost media.

Palpatine is sitting around being dead after falling down a pit and exploding, just seething and malding at being dead, and then he decided to return from the dead, because he couldn’t cope. Incredible take
Hot take: Palpatine returning with a fleet of planet-killing Star Destroyers makes sense when you remember he’s an EXTREMELY petty man who can’t cope with the fact that he lost at Endor.

They’re such miserable cheapskates man. It’s so embarrassing
Claudia Black says she won’t return as Mother Klothow in ‘AHSOKA’ Season 2.

“Disney, which is structuring things differently these days, could not pay me what I needed to be paid as a single mother to keep all my responsibilities going at home in Los Angeles, because they were filming in London.”

Look, I'm genuinely sorry for the Graham Linehan posts. I really am. But this is just too fucking astonishing not to share. The last paragraph of an Observer interview with him. Absolutely beyond parody. He's gone. He's absolutely fucking gone.

That awful contrapoints meme is actually true but not of the left but of liberals, liberal 'left', and centrists. They are the ones who don't want (*to use* their) power but always want to endlessly critique their critics.

Bourgeois parliamentarians don't give a fuck about you.

What a dunce argument. Doesn’t engage with what Gilroy is actually saying about this decision and why they didnt make it in Rebels even *tangentially*

Imagine being this much of a corporate lickspittle. *who* is harmed by fans fighting for art they want to get made? The feelings of fucking Bob Iger and Alan Bergman? Absolutely deranged Disney corporation fanboys

Don’t make them watch RLMs Avatar review where they piss and shit themselves about the anti-US military messaging and go on about how the U.S. doesn’t owe Indigenous Americans reparations
Fans extend every excuse they can for this and all the other racist humor and rape jokes that is used in these and their other videos in order to avoid admitting that they the points they recite are from somebody who thinks Samuel Jackson should only be cast as an angry black man.

The Plinkett reviews contain an extended sequence where Mike Stoklassa argues that black people don't watch Star Wars, Billy Dee Williams and Samuel Jackson were basically diversity hires, and has some real classy jokes about black people stealing his TV.

i am surprised disney is not running a counter narrative in the trades, but perhaps this is the perk of building a package around mr. movies himself steven soderbergh. run attacks on him and you'll look like even more of a laughing stock.

That's the wild part is I don't think anyone has actually blamed this on Jon Favreau. Nobody reasonable thinks Disney and LucasFilm were somehow in an either/or situation that Jon Favreau somehow influenced? We just think the one that was actually greenlit looks like shit

It was a TV season that got turned into a movie at the last moment by Bob Iger. The first trailer released makes it visually indistinguishable from the streaming show. It is for all intents and purposes a TV movie that happens to get a theatrical release. It’s a slight because we have standards.
I promise y'all don't sound smart for calling a film made by a film director with film crew with a film budget with film level sets a "TV movie."

How is Jon Favreau getting a movie a slight against Steven Soderbergh? Can y'all be normal or are y'all gonna send people death threats to people?
Oops too late. Why is wanting Steven Soderbergh movies instead of tv movies meant to be unacceptable behaviour?

Remember when they said Mandalorian & Grogu - the worst movie name in the history of franchise filmmaking - was just a placeholder

Like someone just said at the other place - they don’t actually understand that disney+ gruel doesn't hold the same weight as a real movie. There’s very little hype for 2 more hours of a streaming show, sorry! Most obvious thing in the world but it escapes them
I still can’t believe “Disney turned down Adam Driver and Steven Soderbergh’s Ben Solo movie but we’re getting Jeremy Allen White playing a Hutt in the Grogu movie” is real life and not A JOKE

At some point Disney is gonna emit some sewage to indemnify themselves. But they’re very bad at it. Prepare for some Snow White level shit
October 25, 2025 at 12:28 AM
Not enough focus on the commentary in this article that the “narrative continuity” reason Iger and Bergman gave is seen as bullshit - because of course it is.

This is internal Disney succession politics - some sort of power play to make Bergman look like a big man. Insane shit. But it’s backfired
