It’s such a bad idea, when one of his crimes was calling forth an insurrection, that he’s actually forbidden from holding the office by a constitutional provision, which a unanimous Supreme Court invented a way to turn off.
To repeat: Maybe electing a life-long criminal to an office where he can pardon other criminals wasn't such a good idea.

Learned his lesson
BREAKING:

Trump has just issued pardons to dozens of conservatives who tried to overturn the 2020 election results, including: Mark Meadows, Kenneth Chesebro, Jeffrey Clark, Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, John Eastman, Boris Epshteyn, and more — per pardon attorney Ed Martin.

Losing Roe and losing voting rights are both happening because of SCOTUS. Can’t fix America without expanding the court.
2024 focus groups, disaffected & swing said "in 2020 you told us to turn out to stop MAGA badness, we did & still assaults happened." "Seems to me, Roe fell on Dems' watch." Southern voters: "Seems to me, anti-voter laws passed on Dems' watch."

Even Trump’s own people, even in this era of groveling, don’t actually believe Trump understands anything
“.. I haven’t spoken to the president about this yet,” he said. 🤡

The entire project here is so cynical. "We have to end foreign aid until we fix unemployment and bad schools!"

ok are you working to fix those problems?

"No."

Bad taste, bad character, bad judgment, bad intellect. If Trump were a fictional character, the critics would complain that he’s too one-dimensional, too over-the-top, too entirely devoid of redeeming qualities.
Just a little more gold and it will be perfect

Republican leadership openly supports authoritarianism abroad as well as at home, and it’s ridiculous that anyone is still bothsidesing partisan threats to democracy, liberty, free speech, or national security
incredible that these guys have a massive hard on for a country that, if it were a state, would rank behind kansas in terms of wealth and which would be a total backwater if it weren’t economically integrated with more functional countries

Wouldn’t it be easier to just be a good person and earn love from real humans
I know people think Musk only bought Twitter to help the rise of fascism.

While that’s important, I still think it’s secondary to his primary goal, which was to own the place where his fans praise him.

With AI, Musk’s use of the platform for love and validation is only getting more transparent.

He’s been lying about his own bank accounts for decades and it got him this far
I guess the Trump economic plan is for him to just make up a bunch of numbers and lie every single day about them and hope at some point people will believe him instead of their bank accounts.

Guy who's killed 600,000 people so far this year needs a trillion dollars of other people's money to cement his control of a robot army
“My fundamental concern with regard to how much voting control I have at Tesla is, if I go ahead and build this enormous robot army, can I just be ousted at some point in the future?... I don't feel comfortable building that robot army unless I have a strong influence.” – Musk, arguing for $1T

"without subjecting anyone to differential treatment."

This is flatly false! Trans people with a passport that does not match with their plain appearance when presented to a border agent is subject to additional hassle compared to a cis person presenting a passport.
NEW: On the shadow docket, the Supreme Court lets Trump resume misgendering trans Americans on their passports, claiming "the government is merely attesting to a historical fact without subjecting anyone to differential treatment." All three liberals dissent. www.documentcloud.org/documents/26...

You might think Trump prioritizes billionaires over regular people because of corruption, but really he's just sentimental about how his best friend Jeffrey Epstein used to love private planes
Private planes make up nearly 12% of all flights.

And yet even with major air traffic control safety concerns, the DOT is planning to exclude them from its plan to order 10% cut in flights at 40 major U.S. airports.

People who can afford to charter flights will be fine. Everyone else is screwed.
