Appealing the dismissal instead of re-indicting is a way to kick the can down the road and avoid a lot of short-term humiliation over the other flaws in the case.

America - but this applies to Canada and the quandary we find ourselves in with the Notwithstanding Clause. Sure we need to drop it and good luck with that. A lot of pontificators seem to ascribe to the sharpie method rather than one grounded in reality and recent constitutional history.
Sure, just hand me the constitution on a sharpie and I’ll get right on that
I think this is a fairly easy fix. Get rid of the winner takes all and apportion electoral college votes per state based on popular vote percentage.

I actually thought she was one of the more competent lawyers that he'd managed to hire. Which, relatively speaking, may still be true. But I thought she was "could blend into normal practice" competent, or at least able to fake it, and apparently not so much...
