Every evening at this time of year the Screaming Tree Frogs gather around the rainwater on our neighbour's water tank to scream at each other.

(poor photos because low light, long distance, adn small aperture)

That telling moment when you think to yourself “I’m actually a functioning, mature adult who’s got his shit together and is winning at life”, then you realise you’re using your phone as a torch to look for your phone which you’re convinced you’ve lost in the pub.

Whenever I debunk pseudoscientific nonsense, some jabroni replies “you must be a lot of fun at parties”

First of all, fuck you, I am a lot of fun at parties.

And why is no one ever mad at the person who lied to you? You’re only mad at the people who pointed out you were lied to.

So, today marks 10 years since the passing of Bowie.

It also marks 10 years since I put something on Twitter about it which resulted in me having to take a day off work, chase down various international media, get blocked by half of Australia, and end up the filling in a Kanye and Madonna sandwich.

Look at that crazy bill!
Fun fact: They can actually bend their bills.

I am a non-seroconverter for the measles vaccine. This means I have no immunity to measles despite being vaccinated multiple times. By ensuring your vaccinations are up to date you help limit the spread of measles, which by extension protects non-seeocoverters such as myself
*sigh*

Reminder: Are your vaccinations up to date? Are your children's vaccinations also up to date?
If you were in Perth between the 6th and 27th Dec. 2025, check the measles alert and listed sites www.health.wa.gov.au/news/2025/me...

Here’s a thing I learned today: the metal-oxide semiconductor transistor is the most manufactured thing in history. One analyst *7 years ago* reckoned more than 13,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 had been made (more than there are stars in the Milky Way).
