What's something (someone!?) your character(s) love that nobody else around them does?

Do you have any side characters with their own adventures going on in the background of your story?
Do we get many glimpses?
Is it in the same genre as your main work? E.g. romance in the background of horror?

MoDaH (Tynan's book) *is* that side story that has been hinted at previously.
Tynan is a side character at the end of MoLaB (Amiere's book). Requiem is a side character in MoKaM (Calinthe's book). Both hint at adventures they had in MoDaH (which I haven't written yet, lol)

Funnily enough #DiaryOfNana *is* the side story/prequel to #LionGirl, I just started it earlier :v
Nana is Ashe’s first friend at West though, so she makes plenty of appearances. Nalu isn’t quite so lucky, but I want to give him his chance to shine in the later books :)

Not exactly an adventure. More like trying to work past some rather strong demons.
Something about Captain Harrison has made him start to freeze when faced with complex command decisions.
We do indeed see parts of this journey.
You'll have to wait to learn more. 😉

A lot is happening in the background of Sigils of Malice, but that book is 90% Thalia's viewpoint.
In Sigils of Blight, the background stuff is so huge to the plot, we actually switch to the perspectives of various named characters when the goddess releases her wrath.

But is Ys, a tall blonde white guy is much more villain coded than a flamboyant gay man.
Anti-tropes: what are some tropes that you've purposefully avoided in your WIP? OR, are there any tropes that you've put a twist on?

I think Chosen Ones CAN exist in a world where, for instance, Gods are real, are good, and want a mortal champion to do good deeds for them. Put sufficient interaction and reasoning behind the Chosen One and the Chooser, and it can work
