Family is a looser concept within the Library, but mages *are* pretty concerned with legacy. Writing or cowriting a major research paper, novel, or any other publication is pretty high up there in life goals, especially if it gets cited a lot :p

Heya, #DecemberWorldbuilders! Does your world have any relevant family symbology? For example, crests, heraldry, flags, etc.? Or are surnames important to them? Do they take their surname from their father or do they have a different method? Do they believe in leaving a lasting legacy?

Was he trying to investigate the source? But these crystal rivers go everywhere! Not to mention all the outcroppings littering the walls… No, he's a divination professor. He definitely had a spell for this, maybe he even used his Affinity.

Private property isn't really a thing in the Library, so I guess there are no laws for inheritance :v
Many needs are taken care of by the Library (food, water, shelter, education, entertainment offerings/enrichment, stable social environment)...

That shouldn't be possible though. Even when I'm certain it's true. The deeper I go into this cavern, the more I trace these crystal paths, the more I'm sure. The ruins were built here to investigate this place.
