Last night I spotted a leak in my ceiling (booooo! Bad news!)
Today I diagnosed the problem (old leaky gasket), separated the tank from the toilet, found a replacement gasket at the hardware store, and fixed that shit. Zero leak. (Amazing news!)
Huge personal victory. Suck it, toilet. Get rekt!

A number of people from out-of-state have been opening tabs at small businesses—coffee shops where people on patrol can grab a drink and warm up, bars where people can be in community, etc. It’s been a deeply appreciated form of solidarity and helps the businesses closing tomorrow.

Big news for A Song of Ice and Fire fans! I spoke to George R. R. Martin and he said he’d finally come up with an ending for Winds of Winter. He explained the ending to me and I gave him my honest feedback that it stinks. He cried for a bit then said he’d maybe try again in 15 years or so

Big clash this afternoon between DHS agents and protesters in a residential street in Minneapolis, following a DHS agent hitting another vehicle. Tear gas was deployed in people’s yards and agents pepper prayed people.
