While I agree with this and leftists do often embellish Dem positions, the house and senate leaders serve at the pleasure of the caucus. Seems odd to go “you did vote for this” to the average Republican on the street after the fact and not reserve the same sentiment when party leaders eat their shoe
it is fair to say that both Jeffries and Schumer's statements were bad! that's bad enough, you don't have to claim that it was 'every Democrat' or that they 'wanted to do this' when neither is true.
