I do not think people are actually seriously calibrated for how rabidly anti-university the MAGA right is and how core that is to their policy goals. It is probably the #2 issue after immigration for them, and for some of them it’s higher.

Comedy-horror can be a tough nut to crack, tonally & thematically, but this whole season has been a masterclass in it. A Call of Cthulhu actual-play podcast set in the 1950s which has been in turns hilarious, heartbreaking and terrifying. A consummate cast. And Alex's illustrations are all bangers.

Comedy-horror can be a tough nut to crack, tonally & thematically, but this whole season has been a masterclass in it. A Call of Cthulhu actual-play podcast set in the 1950s which has been in turns hilarious, heartbreaking and terrifying. A consummate cast. And Alex's illustrations are all bangers.
You know "Chick Tracts?" Those fire-and-brimstone Christian comics that bible-thumpers leave for people to find? They relentlessly cite bible verses to make their point, but are also aimed at people who presumably don't find the bible persuasive, since conversion is the goal. Always confusing to me!

i also liked the fact that most of us who had come from the other site had the mentality of not giving "bad actors" the benefit of the doubt on here , and told all to block, not mute, an move on
