Because one doc's office dicked around w/providing info, I had to push off a medical test I have every 3 years. If I'd had it in Dec 2025, it would've cost me nothing because I'd reached my max OOP.
I'm having it next week. It will now cost me approx $2k because I have to start my deductible again.

btw for those who don't know why Americans with chronic illness got like 75% more stressed on Jan 1st, it is not just because all the insurance rates blew up.
On 1/1, deductibles reset. which means you have to spend some amount of money (up to $10k sometimes) before your insurance COVERS ANYTHING

Burnout is clinically understood as a combo of 6 factors—work overload, lack of control, insufficient rewards, breakdown in community, absence of fairness, & value conflicts—and only a fraction of it is under your control. Burnout is a systemic problem, so be kind to yourself and hard on the system.
Hey gang I've had to learn recently that the whole "burning out" thing is real so if you find yourself being panicked every waking second that you're not working on something, despite those seconds being very rare, you should maybe listen to the signals and take an intentional break before you crash

It’s very difficult to help people understand that if one of these rounds with Covid, you don’t make a full recovery—medicine will have *very* little to offer you.
