Labour MPs & party insiders tell me they’ve never seen Keir Starmer so angry as over Mandelson’s lies about Epstein links.

But those who know him well say that anger has now turned inwards. That Starmer is, above all else, a man of public service, and will be grappling with his conscious this w/e.

Why is every scandal existential for Starmer? Because he has actively worked to eradicate his own support base. And that, along with the Mandelson decision, can be laid at McSweeney's door iandunt.substack.com/p/starmers-m...

People keep saying "the only person who has gone to prison for any of this...is a woman" and yeah I know what you mean, all these abusive men in power continue to walk free. But Ghislaine Maxwell is ALSO a paedophile rapist sex trafficking monster and her life in prison is like being in a resort.

Exactly this. Starmer’s position is so bad because, even with his defence of being lied to, the question ‘what is the only acceptable degree of past intimacy with Epstein in a potential ambassador?’ demanded the answer ‘zero’.
Isn’t the point that you shouldn’t be mates with a convicted child sex offender anyway? Like the depth and the money should be add-ons

Palestine Action – what just happened?
Yesterday, six Palestine Action protestors were acquitted by a jury of aggravated burglary, following a break-in at an Elbit Systems UK factory near Bristol in August 2024. Three of the six were ac…

This is what I mean: even if you assume that Starmer et al's goal is just to hold on to power, the decisions they're making are complete idiocy. Starmer was a skilled enough barrister to be instructed to argue at The Hague. You'd think he had more strategic nouse than this. It makes no sense to me.
there is no circumstance under which keir starmer can win a general election at this point.

streeting can't win one either.
February 5, 2026 at 12:58 PM
Honestly Starmer genuinely confuses me sometimes. This is an open book test. The consequences of the Democrats cozying up to the right wing are screamingly obvious. I'm not expecting morality from him but this is just blindingly moronic.
Doesn't seem like the best day for Starmer to reheat "you lefties [on the backbenches/in the Labour membership/in the Labour electorate] just don't get it" Blue Labour type arguments?
Keir Starmer attacks the racism of Reform and Matt Goodwin but then adds that "Britain has also been let down by a mindset on the left of politics that is too slow to defend core British values"

But there is only one terrorist here, and Palantir are war criminals.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Suella Braverman is a disgrace to the Bar and has intentionally brought the profession into disrepute on multiple occasions. Why she's still on the rolls is a mystery to me.
Every time you see Suella Braverman, you instantly remember how false & insincere she is—just a speech & drama kid whose only conviction is that she's got to be the star of the show.

If it suited her career, she'd be the embodiment of one-nation Toryism, but that race is run, so it's fascism now.

Gaza is the testing ground for a lawless new world order.

They’re removing rubble to start construction their New Gaza MasterPlan! They're removing bodies and evidence of war crimes before UN and ICC inspections.

If we allow this to happen, international law is dead.

We do not want Palantir or Oracle anywhere near our health records or anything else. Both of them have been very clear that they have and intend to continue using surveillance to suppress dissent and help oppressive regimes target any dissenters.
