You’re telling me Pitt MBB lost to Hofstra?

Yeah I mean I would’ve liked a more interesting matchup but then again, lots of players are gonna opt-out anyway so an easier opponent isn’t bad. Bowl prestige doesn’t matter much except a few.
I no longer think the prestige or hierarchy of bowl games matter much these days. Anything outside the playoffs kind of feels the same.

So for people up in arms about the Military Bowl seems trivial.

It’s drivable. Go watch if you want. Win the game, end with nine wins. Etc.

Pitt always gets shitty bowl games except the Sun Bowl that one time. I’m just used to it. The Military Bowl is pointless but all bowls are pointless now.

At least this one could be a day trip if I don’t mind freezing my butt off.

I genuinely don't understand what a catch in the NFL is anymore
Isaiah Likely may be physically unable to score a touchdown.

That drop may cost the Ravens their shot at the playoffs as they turn the ball over on downs 3 plays later.

Absolutely absurd to take that TD away from the Ravens

All of these people on TV talking how about how you can't punish Alabama for losing its conference championship game and refusing to acknowledge that BYU got punished for losing its conference championship game. It's maddening.

I keep coming back to this:

Notre Dame's two losses were by a combined four points. Their most recent loss was on September 14th.

Alabama lost by 21 yesterday.

I can believe everything about this situation other than that they didn't keep BYU in place to provide logical consistency. Not even trying to apply consistent logic on the championship blowout loss is just lazy business

The selection committee did a terrible job all year, dug themselves into so many holes and stayed inconsistent to the very end.

You can argue the final result was right or wrong, but the process to get there was a mess.

Joey Galloway is right. Whining about leaving 2 or 3 loss teams out in favor of Tulane and JMU is pretty dumb.

actually it would have been very easy to get Notre Dame in if the committee had dropped Alabama for getting their asses kicked yesterday like they did to BYU but sure, Nick

Dropping BYU for yesterday but not Alabama is such a perfect chef's kiss on top of all of this. Honestly disgraceful, makes FSU's omission in 2023 look like a picnic

Should’ve been Miami and ND over Alabama but at the very least they acknowledged Miami’s win over ND matters.

This is the worst selection committee we've ever had.

Cannot believe Alabama didn't even drop one spot after the SEC title game blowout. Cannot believe they waited until the final reveal to flip Miami-ND. Could have done it at ANY point.

The ACC has a top-10ish team but the league might miss the CFP because that team didn't play for the title, because the conferences are too big and the ACC's best teams barely played each other at all.

Extremely confident that Duke and Virginia are, at best, the 5th and 6th best teams in the ACC.
Miami beats these teams by 30

Pitt and SMU beat these teams by 10
