At some point Fate/Grand Order is gonna go offline and at that moment a decade of load-bearing storytelling for some of Type Moon's most beloved characters is going to disappear overnight.
After "film trilogy that dropped a critical plot point exclusively via timed Fortnite event" and "video game series whose story only makes sense if you're aware of the events of a canon pachinko machine", I feel like there are whole frontiers of user-hostile narrative design waiting to be explored.

Okay so that was dogshit. The real reason you see K-ON pfps attached to racist posts is the show was very popular on /a/ in 2009 and was used for images and ended up attached to a lot of shitposting on 4chan. Then as the site got more politically polarized the shitposts came along for the ride.
