The recent MTG about-face definitely makes the most sense if she somehow saw or caught wind of the contents of emails we have now seen a few weeks back.

That sudden and strange 180 with no foreshadowing is best explained by a survival drive.

Been on calls all day and legit cannot tell if the Epstein files have been released or what’s happening right now.

Think I just say an email between Epstein and Deepak Chopra with some sort of “expand your consciousness” footer.

Perhaps today I’ll just let my consciousness remain unexpanded.

It’s definitely pretty bleak to have Elon out there promoting his own insane version of reality.

But I suppose it’s also somewhat derivative, like the core problem here is people viewing LLMs as “truth oracles” which they are not, because that’s not a thing and it will never be a thing.

Damn this is legit a heinous parenting take, made somehow even worse by to the fact that it’s written in the style of a LinkedIn vignette.

The VCs are not okay.
I think the belief by the powerful that "people will put up with many things if you are excellent at math" is incredibly revealing in terms of understanding How We Got Here

Trump admin Press Secretary citing DoorDash on local commerce price levels.

Quite possibly the most cursed ‘economic indicator’ I have ever seen.

Noah Smith failing to navigate Heathrow and then concluding the UK is a failing society is like a tiny microcosm of the self-righteous manbaby aesthetic that powers the American political right.

I bet we actually are gonna see $2 gasoline, and if we do the causation chain that leads to that will be bad.
Trump: "Food prices are way down. It's all coming down ... you're gonna be seeing very soon $2 gasoline."

The Democratic Party is becoming harder to believe in — there’s no unifying theme, no shared ethos.

We need a party with a North Star, some shared set of principles through which we can evaluate performance.

I don’t know what the right answer is, but we need themes to rally around, stuff like:

The low regard you must to have for voters’ intelligence to post something like this.

We aren’t stupid Chuck, we know how the Senate works and this theater of yours is insulting.

Your purview is the aggregate outcome of the caucus, and you are once again a shocking disappointment of a “leader.”
America is in the midst of a Republican-made health care crisis—a crisis so severe, so urgent, and so devastating for American families that I cannot support a continuing resolution that fails to address it.

I am voting NO.

Yep
The fact that none of the 8 Dems are up for re-election in 2026 is a pretty good sign @schumer.senate.gov engineered the surrender

Doing a deal to reopen a government that is using my tax dollars to fund an army that’s actively hunting my neighbors.

Yeah I’d say I’m pretty done too.
I don’t think I will ever give money to a Democrat again.

We need a new left party.

agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

I had this edgelord professor I didn’t like much who had a bit where he’d talk about how voting was an irrational act because the chance your one vote would make a difference vs. the opportunity cost of taking the time to vote blah blah.

Thinking about that for no particular reason.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Literal blue wave election this week two weeks after massive successful protests and they just fucking collapse.

We are so fucking leaderless and until we reject centrist third way cowards, we're going to continue to be leaderless.

Democratic organizers did our fucking part. We gave Democrats a clean sweep on Tuesday so Chuck Schumer have leverage to negotiate.

Instead, either because of malice or sheer fucking incompetence, he is letting his caucus fold like fucking cowards.

This is not a deal — it's an empty promise.

Trump and his Republican Congress are making healthcare more expensive for the middle class and ending it for working families.

Time for Democrats to stand tall for affordable healthcare. www.politico.com/news/2025/11...

Because the rule of law—and human decency—matter and we will keep fighting for them.
