So politicians hoard homes AND charge taxpayers to cover their costs? Entitlement and rort culture from the political class is next level, especially given the attacks on people needing actual welfare.

It’s extraordinary how quickly the media can mobilise & demand government to act on certain issues.

Imagine if they had that same urgency for First Nations deaths in custody or women killed by men.

If we are going to stamp down on hate speech (and we really should), we should start with our newspapers.

If you are an enemy of diversity and multiculturalism, you are an enemy of my family, my friends and I (and of much of the Australian populace).

Yes. This is the way forward.

'The Jewish coalition recognises the presence and threat of antisemitism and urges the government to address it as part of a comprehensive response to religious and racial hatred in Australia, rather than in isolation.'

The horrifying news from Bondi Beach breaks my heart. May the victims’ memory be a blessing, and may their families know peace. To my friends in the Jewish community, I am so sorry that a celebration of light has been marked by violence. I stand beside you in the spirit of care and repair.

Read a post earlier talking about "antisemitic protests" weekly in Australia. I'll admit that there's antisemitism problems in Australia and that's shit. But one place that isn't antisemitic is a pro-Palestine rally. Criticising Israeli atrocities is not antisemitism.

Framing the teen social media ban as standing up to big tech to protect the children is such bullshit.
If they had any desire to stand up to big tech they’d tax it properly.
