"Vietnam has been hit by 14 typhoons this year. Five was the average a few decades ago. The rain from the past few days did not even come from a cyclone — but to add inundation on top of injury, a 15th major storm has just formed off the country’s south central coast."

Poorline and Barnabus on the telly eating a Family Court Dad Meal Deal cooked in an office kitchenette is somehow the Platonic form of our media-political culture: vile idiots doing dumb things given publicity about nothing.

DOGE did not exist to save taxpayers money. It existed to take a wrecking ball to programs that had drifted into the crosshairs of the insane conspiracy right as hiding the secret switch that would turn off liberalism. They found nothing, destroyed entire agencies and gave the data to who knows who.
hey don't be so hard on yourselves; it delivered oceans of sensitive government and citizen data to billionaires

It's my favorite day! It's the 38th anniversary of the Max Headroom signal broadcast intrusion!

1st incident lasted 25s during the 9PM news on WGN-TV in Chicago; The 2nd, 2hrs later, lasted ~90s on PBS affiliate WTTW during Dr. Who.
