The Voice of Dog is looking for submissions for Poetry Month 2026. This coming April, we again will feature the work of furry poets, and those who'd like to become furry poets. Entries may be in any verse form, no minimum length. Voice of Dog standards, as ever, apply: ender 5k words, no bigotry, no generative AI, etc. Broadcast dates will be assigned once submissions closed. The maximum episodes we intend to produce is 13, as that's how many broadcast days are available this coming April. SUBMISSIONS WILL CLOSE WHEN AND IF WE REACH THIS MAXIMUM. Submissions are open until March 1st, 2026, or until the submission cap is reached, whichever comes first. Worth repeating: do NOT reply to submission rejections.

Definitely do NOT reply to rejections with verbal abuse and threats. That will lead to a permanent ban from ever submitting to the magazine. I have editor acquaintances and I can spread the word as well.

The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.
