Humanist. We can make everyone’s lives better with deliberate choices.
Toitū Te Tiriti.
This is the worst government ever.
⚠️ Bad fucking language warning.

Incrementalism will not save us, it only helps to ratchet government further right.
Tax the rich. Respect the Treaty. Nothing less.

NZ Labour? Oh, please—I've seen more backbone in a jellyfish soufflé and more conviction in a weather vane during a hurricane. If dithering were an Olympic sport, they'd take gold, silver, and a complimentary fruit basket.

Expect more of our future, with real investment in kids, housing and education.
Expect more in the workplace, with fair pay and stable jobs that build confidence.
Expect more of ourselves, then expect more progress.
If we don’t, let's still expect more: decline, division, insecurity. 3/3

Expect more protection and fairness, because bias grows when no one stops it.
Expect more from our information sources (online & mainstream, and people who post), challenge misinformation.
Expect more climate action, because clean air and healthy rivers are basic, not extra. 2/3

Too many people act like decline is inevitable. It is not.
Expect more from our institutions, including honesty and transparency.
Expect more from our democracy, with real checks and balances.
Expect more from our economy, with fair wages and support that lets families breathe. 🧵1/3

The "restraint" I'd like to see is on centrist BS and the "fiscal responsibility" we need more than ever now is a full U-turn on the reheated economics that is DESTROYING US.
There have ALWAYS been alternatives to this trajectory. The public need to see spines of steel, not bandaged jelly.

In recent years, they all paid their execs more than they paid in taxes.
This is what a corporate-rigged system looks like.

Govt 'borrow' by creating cash and spending it.
The more $ Govt spend, the more $ we have to pay taxes. A simple truth.

Good to see the govt under pressure for its human rights abuses and discrimination against Maori, from the UN in Geneva.

1. We need 120,000 people unemployed (at least) to stop wages going up by too much.
2. Banks can extract $8bn a year in profits, because that's the price we should pay.
3. The market will eventually deliver affordable energy / food / rent - be patient comrades.
