#NZ More on that NZ citizen, a citizenship 'gifted' by Key’s administration. I sincerely hope the current coalition government aren’t tangled with him in any way whatsoever, or with his companies.

Regulatory Standards Bill could cost up to $60 million a year
And even the most conservative estimates of $18 million a year from Treasury misses the mark i.e. Treasury says most costs are yet to be accounted for

So -thanks to governments like this one-& greed, the human race is going to be subjected to a Hell on Earth as temperatures rise, species die out, seas rise, food & water become scarce & weather crisis accelerate #nzpol #climatechange #methane #fossilfuels #extinction www.1news.co.nz/2025/10/13/f...
Fears weaker methane target signals a wider climate action retreat
While the farming industry responded positively to the news, many climate scientists condemned the move as an unprecedented rollback.

Will there be a useful list of things being repealed under a Labour govt, and what they will be replaced with?

Duncan, a question if I may - how do we prevent such abuse of the democratic process going forward? What mechanism can you put in place to prevent this?

On this specific issue I'd be surprised if NZF *hadn't* said something: this suits his cooker base perfectly - they're happy to reject it for their own "land must be pure!" reasons, but that context can overlay quite legit science concerns *without him risking a "woke" accusation from them*.

We all notice, however, ACT is endorsing it and once again their objection is totally focused, shocker I know, around the inclusion of Māori input. Cos they're cunts.
