👀 Australia!? I think not!
Italy brought us cappuccinos. Australia introduced the flat white. Cuba created the cafecito, and the Middle East, the qahwa.

Japan is bringing us coffee omakase.
Coffee omakase is Japan’s love letter to caffeine
Coffee tasting menus full of elaborate preparations and black-tie baristas are all the rage in Tokyo and Kyoto.

So if you want to be a p@edo, just make sure you get up to the top echelons of a public service first, so you can get off scott free (with full pay) while one of your victims is still being hauled through the criminal justice process for the misfortune of being one 🙄

I used some brewing yeast to make bread, just to see if it would work.

It does, but you get a better result with proper bakers yeast. The loaf has a great crispy crust but it didn't rise a much as normal, and therefore has a slightly denser crumb. Good for French toast I guess.

"New number plate plan to crack down on dangerous trend taking over Aussie roads" cries the breathless headline.

"Politician from a deeply unpopular right wing political party regurgitates anti-cycling sentiment from the dregs of Facebook comment section as policy" is a more accurate headline.

I recently bought a second hand Panasonic bread maker.

It's wonderful to have fresh baked bread when you wake up in the morning, and even more wonderful not to have to bother kneading dough when making pizzas, but something I hadn't considered was how much cheaper it is.

It's absolutely wild watching the American right cheer on the loss of their own right to free speech. A Facebook group I'm in been infiltrated by Maga chuds posting memes celebrating Kimmel being cancelled. I guess if you're too dumb to realise where this is going you're dumb enough to support it.

Pretty spurious to link Amazon restarting their data centre build with the lift on the foreign property buyers ban. As much as the media would like us to think Luxon is some sort of genius attracting overseas investment, these two things are completely unrelated.

So literally the next day, the US announces a 15% tariff on NZ imports. If I was any more of a cynic I'd argue they're deliberately mocking us, but I think the reality is our government are just a bunch of morons who couldn't negotiate their way out of a paper bag.
