@klobuchar.senate.gov WHERE ARE YOU? My city council people are in the streets, my congresswoman Ilhan Omar has actively tried to get ot the bottom of the human rights violations at Whipple. I see you nowhere that matters and everywhere it doesn't.
Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

I've told people who don't live here, my own family, what's been going on and I think they don't believe me when I say this is happening here right now.
America is now at the heavily armed secret police doing warrantless door-to-door house raids in search of undesirable ethnicities and/or political dissenters stage. The difference from well known historical cases is down to scale.

I think of Frey as the guy at the dog park who brings a dog he can't and won't control. It jumps, attacks, bites, and when that happens someone else is to blame. When the dog behaves though, he takes credit for it.
This is the thing.
Does Frey actually have command over his police?
Why then are they not enforcing valid trespass orders?
Why, then, are they spending more time breaking up protests than protecting our neighbors from masked thugs snatching people on the street?

The elephant in the room is that mayors and governors across the country have very good reason to question the loyalty and allegiances of the state and local police forces and that’s one of the impediments to doing anything about the current occupations

Hopefully people realize MPD and the National Guard will never be the ones to help us stop ICE. At the end of the day they will always side with them.

It is difficult to explain how dire this situation is. There are 2,200 ICE agents in Minneapolis right now. They are heavily armed and are operating with no rules. The MPD only has 550 officers. StP even fewer. How can they protect us against an invading army? Because that's what this is.

Anti-ICE protesters are having a rolling noise demo and protest in downtown Minneapolis targeting hotels where federal agents are reportedly staying -- starting at the Canopy by Hilton and going to the Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel. Police have just arrived as we are posting this.
