Garnett was better than Duncan

Who defends him is interesting. I think the same type who bothered Durant 10 years ago - guys who can reach and disrupt the high dribble, and generally be in his space, without fouling.

Wings Jimmy, guards Ant, and bigs AD.
Check back in 2 years and we can review the Wembanyama portfolio
alright let’s talk about single game/match/race performances in other sports that match what Shohei Ohtani did today.
You win a game of basketball by scoring points, so the player who scores the most points is the better player.

Carmelo Anthony is thus better than Kevin Garnett.
Like just because the civil rights movement looms larger in your blurry historical narrative of the US does not mean it was larger than No Kings, which it was, in fact, not. I know the game here is to adjust reality for the sake of Bluesky dunks but we can literally count the people
I would guess that's the most disturbing surprise you've gotten, but can I ask about the strangest?
If you hate the fake no-look pass this is the opposite of that.
Chelsea Gray has been magnificent in game 2. Look at the defense move with her on the 2nd angle. A basketball savant. #WNBASky
Be calm, and be Large.

Doesn't matter if you're "small" It's exhausting to move 100lbs of meat, let alone 200 or 300. Be an obstacle, and steal the spaces an aggressor needs to operate.
This video of Chicagoans intervening to save a man from being abducted off the streets by ICE is making the rounds on Instagram.

Community action works.

Dan Barreiro interviewed a guy locked down in Wuhan on January 23rd! That was the day I went from "hmm" to "oh no no no oh no".
Also - absolutely not, burn this
Maybe? Looks like the 2000s version had a narrower base than the 90s, but I'm not a big jersey-knower
Take it or leave it on the front, but the trees on the trim are excellent

This is very good from E. Tammy Kim, the god. As annoying as folks may think we are online, it doesn’t change the fact that disabled people *are* one of the many groups routinely being fucked over by our current administration and political moment.

@robin4mpls.bsky.social and @jchavezmpls.bsky.social a random appreciation post for you here on Thursday evening
No, she was my rep until I got redistricted to 9 - Chavez's is no slouch as well. I'll take a look though!
Have CM Wonsley write everyone's weekly newsletter, those things are incredible.
This situation directly contradicts rule number 1 (acab obviously) but alas.
I get it, I really do, and they might be 100% correct, but I think we should hold "people react to trauma in strange and contradictory ways" as a sacred rule.
Aside from the fact the supposed "texts" from the shooter are a full checklist of details to get someone convicted, they lack the bragging/adrenaline high sort of thing shooters do when they enact this kind of violence.
If tens or hundreds of thousands of people are getting harassed in this way the problem is much greater than emails, and will need millions of people protesting to fight it to be organized by .......
They can already do all these things with actblue, but have not done so. Organizing takes organization, and yes some low amount of risk. Should I tell my parents to not sign up for emails because their SSN might get deleted, knowing that will effectively end their activism? I emphatically say no.
(fyi I feel very strongly about this but I appreciate your engagement)
Fear is their main weapon. I stand by that telling people to be afraid of giving their email does more harm than good. If people (like my parents) think putting their name to their actions is a small act of rebellion, that is good and inspiring.
Cops aren't gonna kettle a thousand moms with strollers and sassy signs next month. She doesn't need to know a lawyer ahead of time.

I live in Minneapolis - in 2020 people RSVPd on Facebook to the main protests. You needed to be in the know about which groups were active at night and at risk.
What will the DoJ do with 800,000 email addresses? Arrest them? They're targeting people at home depot because it's too hard to do the paperwork.
To be fair Bush was the '70s, but I'm sure it was all a blur to them anyway
