yeah it’s bad that Lizza has been sitting on this for so long but also how cursory and inept was that Vox investigation that not only managed to miss the biggest scandal in the history of American political journalism but affirmatively exonerated her bsky.app/profile/bkel...
So the editor of New York Magazine said there was no bias or ethical problems with Olivia's articles?

Does he still think that?

They should retract all of her stories

For the record, this is the opposite of throwing Kristi Noem under the bus. This is making clear that the decision was made at the highest possible level to assure minimal judicial scrutiny when they run to SCOTUS.
NEW:

The DOJ tells Judge James Boasberg that Kristi Noem made the decision that flights that had departed should continue on to El Salvador, in contravention of the court’s orders.
BREAKING:

“After receiving that legal advice, Secretary Noem directed that the AEA detainees who had been removed from the United States before the Court’s order could be transferred to the custody of El Salvador. “

Lots of people sharing this clip because it's funny and cathartic but I also genuinely believe it's important.

We have to win the narrative battle between "I live in a corrupt society and that's just how it is" and "I live in a corrupt society and we are going to defeat and humiliate these ghouls."
Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❤️ 🇧🇷

If you haven't read Wright Thompson's "The Barn," (he also wrote the piece mentioned in the article), I cannot urge you strongly enough to do so. Beautifully written and absolutely devastating.
“Seventy years ago, Mamie Till said, ‘Let them see.’ And today, with the preservation of the barn by the Emmett Till Interpretive Center, the world will see,” Shonda Rhimes said in a statement that the Emmett Till Interpretive Center given to the Mississippi Free Press on Nov. 24.

This is the absolute truth.
The dirty secret of pies is that they have the lowest ceiling potential of all sweets. Your best pie is merely fine. Your median pie is bad.

To be fair, this Supreme Court has already proved quite willing to lie - and be lied to - in the service of conservative goals, so why not see if they'll do it again?

Awfully long way to say that the administration lied to the Supreme Court.

something i'll note is that if nuzzi ran catch-and-kill ops for rfk jr and lizza knew this prior to him being appointed as HHS, and instead of telling anyone, he decided to save it for his substack long after rfk jr had made communicable disease into federal policy, that's completely fucked

Referring to the fall of Al Franken as a "lynching" is quite a tell, almost as much a tell as referring to him as a progressive warrior. Also, "weaponize a joke photo" lol, lmao. At least 8 women came forward to accuse Franken of harassment.
Sorry, no….its not. Many of us will never forgive her for lynching Al Franken. That was a contrived right-wing hit job pushed by a disingenuous partisan hack former model who decided to weaponize a joke photo from decades ago. We lost a progressive warrior because of Dem self flagellation.
